Men's Bowling Wins Region 12 Championship

LANSING, Mich. – The Mid Michigan College men's bowling team won the NJCAA Region 12 Championship on Friday at Royal Scot Lanes, despite not having anyone earn All-Region honors. Mid has qualified for NJCAA Nationals, which will be held Feb. 27-Mar. 1.  

The Lakers tallied a total team score of 9118, finishing just 85 pins ahead of runner-up Schoolcraft College. 

Mason Hodges led the Lakers in singles with a 665. 

Ruberto Mosqueda and Dane Sampson led Mid in doubles action with 1251. 

In the overall standings, Brett Petersen finished in eighth place for the Lakers with a total series of 1619.

Mid will compete at the MCCAA Baker Challenge next Friday (Feb. 21).
