Mid Shows Well at GRCC Invite

Grand Rapids, MI - The Mid Michigan Lakers cross country team continued their 2025-26 season with a strong showing at the GRCC Raider Invite on September 5th, held at the Gainey Athletic Complex on the campus of Calvin College.

In the men's 8K race, Drew Moore led the field with a commanding 1st place finish in 27:59, marking his second career win as a Laker. Ace Pierson impressed in his collegiate debut, placing 7th with a time of 29:49, while Logan Dudley ran a personal best, finishing 13th in 31:21 on the challenging, hilly course.

On the women's side, Natalie Lemert continued her consistent form, securing 21st place with a strong time of 22:33.

The Lakers made the most of the great weather and tough terrain, showing depth and progress early in the season.  They will next make the eight-hour trek to Michigan's Upper Penninsula as they run in the Norse Invite, hosted by MCCAA member Bay College.
