Massaway Earns Eastern Conference Bowler of the Week Honors

Mt Pleasant, MI - Women's bowling team member Lilly Massaway earned MCCAA Eastern Conference Bowler of the Week honors after turning in a standout performance that helped propel Mid Michigan College to yet another conference championship. Massaway rolled a series-high 572, setting the tone from the opening frame and providing the steady scoring the Lakers needed during their home meet on Friday. Her consistency and poise on the lanes proved to be a difference-maker as Mid Michigan secured the Eastern Conference title for the fifth consecutive year.

The championship effort was a true team accomplishment, with Mya Jarvis leading the event with a high game of 213 and the remaining Lakers delivering strong performances up and down the lineup.  Other high game leaders this season for the Lakers have been Paige Vallad at the Wayne invite with a 223 and Autumn View with a 212 at St. Clair.  The Lakers prepare for the MCCAA All Conference meet this Friday before heading to the Region XII championships in Lansing on February 20th.
