Bio

Sage Gauthier is a talented multi-sport athlete from Lincoln, Michigan (Alcona County), who excelled in volleyball, basketball, and softball at Alcona High School. She played middle hitter and outside hitter in volleyball, point guard and shooting guard in basketball, and catcher and shortstop in softball. Sage broke two softball records as a junior and earned All-State Honorable Mention in both her junior and senior years.

Athletics has been a family passion, as her sister Alissa Gauthier played outfield at Madonna University from 2021–2025. Growing up in a small school with limited exposure, Sage traveled extensively to attend camps and showcases, with her father, Scott, supporting her every step of the way.

Sage learned about Mid through a softball camp her dad signed her up for and was drawn to the program for its coaching staff, dedication, and high standards. She aims to contribute immediately, working hard in the off-season and on the field, with a goal of competing in the World Series.

Academically, Sage plans to study Business, earn her Associate Degree, and further develop key skills such as time management and goal setting, while balancing athletics and academics at Mid.

• Played in 44 games for the Lakers
• Hit two home runs and had 13 RBIs
• Stole four bases
• Recorded nine doubles and a triple
• Recorded first career hit on opening day, going 1-for-5 with a double and RBI and helping Mid to a 15-4 victory over Erie (3/8)
• Hit first career home run in 12-1 victory over Olivet (3/19)
• Also hit a home run in an 11-3 victory over Bay at Sports Force Park (3/29)
