Bio

Kayla Winters is a dedicated and accomplished multi-sport student-athlete who brings leadership, competitiveness, and a championship mindset to Mid’s athletics program. During her high school career, Kayla served as basketball team captain and earned Scholar Athlete recognition while excelling as an outfielder in softball. She was named 3rd Team All-District and 4th Team All-Region, and played a key role on teams that captured four conference championships, three district titles, and three regional championships. Her teams finished as state runner-up in 2022 and claimed the state championship in 2024.

Kayla learned about Mid through school, travel ball teammates, and family connections, as her parents attended Mid as well. Her decision was solidified by the opportunity to continue her softball career at the collegiate level while pursuing her education.

Driven by a lifelong love for sports and inspired by her parents, Kayla is motivated to continue developing her game and contributing to a strong team environment. Athletically, she aims to keep improving and pushing her abilities throughout college. Academically, Kayla plans to study Nuclear Medicine while focusing on transferring credits to a four-year institution, with Ferris State or Oakland University among her future goals. While at Mid, she hopes to further develop her study skills, testing strategies, and goal-setting abilities.
