Johnston Named MCCAA North Player of the Week

Macomb, MI - Sophomore Gabi Johnston was recently named the MCCAA Northern Conference Player of the Week after slashing .875/.875/1.625 in a weekend sweep of Alpena Community College.  The sophomore catcher from Central Montcalm high school is now batting .394 on the season and leads the team in homeruns (2) and RBI (12).  A second team All-MCCAA performer in 2025, Johnston also leads the team in slugging at .667 and has yet to commit an error on the season for the 12-9 Lakers.
