UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The No. 14 Mid Michigan College men's basketball team earned a hard fought 98-93 victory at Delta on Wednesday night.
Mid (21-3, 10-0 MCCAA North) led 53-42 at halftime, and held on for the win despite being outscored in the second half 51-45.
James Wright led the Lakers with 27 points, 13 rebounds, and two steals. De'Antre Griffin added 20 points while Amonti Greene recorded 19 points and three assists off the bench.
Vynce Overshown scored 8 points and pulled down six rebounds, while Jayden Hardiman also had 8 points and grabbed five rebounds. Jaden Clark added 8 points as well.
Willie Humphrey led the Pioneers (9-14, 4-6 MCCAA North) with 21 points off the bench.
The Lakers will host Kirtland on Saturday at 3:00 PM from Mount Pleasant High School.
