Bio

Amonti Greene is a native of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and a 2023 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. His journey to Mid Michigan College has been defined by growth and reflection after facing adversity early in his athletic career. Following a setback that forced him to step away from the game, Greene took time to reassess his priorities and gain a deeper appreciation for the opportunity in front of him. That experience now fuels his motivation to make the most of every chance he gets.

Greene competed in both basketball and track and field during high school. He earned All-Region honors as a junior at Roseville and served as a team captain at Mount Pleasant during his senior season, helping lead the team to a district championship. He credits his mother, Nekela Harshaw, for her support and influence throughout his journey.

He learned about Mid Michigan College through his high school coach and was drawn to the culture of the basketball program and his love for the game. Greene has high expectations for the Lakers, including competing at the state tournament level, while pursuing personal goals of earning All-American honors and contributing to one of the winningest seasons in program history.

Academically, Greene plans to study Business and work toward an associate degree as he continues to develop his testing and academic skills. He aspires to transfer to a Division I program while continuing to grow both on and off the court at Mid.
